To anyone that may click on this entry.

Does anyone have any tips on conducting an out-of-state job search? Or even a long-distance job search but not necessarily out of state? Is it better to just move to a new area and hope for the best? Or can you just submit resumes/applications/cover letters and hope for the best?

Let's just say the job market around here is beginning to frustrate me.
o1028 - Cars and Driving

I've been interviewing this week...and therefore, doing way more driving than normal. I don't really mind driving. It's just the other drivers. I have a bit of a road rage problem...I mean, I don't actually do anything dangerous, I just yell. A lot.

I actually made it all the way to my first interview without getting angry. When I was heading back to the highway (the interview was in a city 25 miles south of where I live), a school bus pulled out right in front of me. I think I should mention there was NOBODY BEHIND ME. Seriously, you had to pull out right in front of me when you could have waited five seconds for the gap the size of the Romanian Army behind me? (Credit to George Carlin for that one...but I think he was talking about parallel parking or something.) Anyway, that has to be my biggest pet peeve...anyone pulling out in front of me sends me into a rage.

So, I followed the bus to the highway (of course, since it was a bus it was crawling) and finally got around it on the highway. I think the rest of the drive was fine...except that this particular highway sucks and the only things driving on it are semis and people going 50 miles per hour.

I went to my second interview this afternoon and it was fine until I got to my turn to get to the building. It was closed off. Completely. Construction. And it had just been open two days beforehand. Of course, at this point in my journey I was heading out of town and had to wait almost five years for a turnaround. Thankfully, I know to leave early for interviews so I still got there ten minutes before my scheduled time.

I think every road in this city is under construction - welcome to Wisconsin. Maybe if roads were built worth a fuck to begin with there wouldn't be construction on all of them every two years.

Oh. And I hate roundabouts.

I think that's it for today.
Received my Bachelor's Degree earlier this month...well, it still has to come in the mail. But I passed all my classes, so it will definitely be here within the next month.

Now I am in the job hunting process. I have four different interviews this week. Two were today and I moved to the second interview for both of them.

It finally looks like my days at Taco Bell are becoming numbered.
