Tomorrow it will be 42, which I know isn't very cold to some of you, but considering that it was in the 70's last week (almost 80 on the first day of winter! Hello, Georgia!), that's pretty chilly for us. While I don't have a fireplace (again, Georgia...) I do have a space heater that looks like a crackling fire, and so I guess the fire is delightful, ha! I didn't even leave the house today--It's 10:40 PM and I haven't even change out of my pj's! I will soon, to shower and get into another pair of pj's. Oh the life of a teacher on vacation! I did clean out my storage room, and in a few minutes I need to finish cleaning up the living room so I can rearrange the furniture. I get bored with furniture arrangements easily--I constantly change my room around at school. I hope to venture out in the morning to write lesson plans at Starbucks, but mostly I'll just read. I finished Jane Eyre tonight and plan to start Wuthering Heights tomorrow. I love my Kindle! I feel like this Christmas just flew by--mostly because we didn't get to leave for our Christmas break until the 21st--didn't leave much time to celebrate or enjoy the spirit.&nbsp; Ah well. The house is a disaster and I'm fighting a sinus infection from hell. I only just rid myself of a headache that started this morning when I woke; I'm afraid it will return in the morning. I've got to do some actual school work tomorrow, so I hope it stays away! I've been on a classics kick lately--I read Pride and Prejudice on the Kindle and now I'm working on Jane Eyre. Some of the language is difficult to get through, but the story is beautiful. I think I'll read another Jane Austen novel after this Jane Eyre; I hope to finish J.E. before break is over on the 9th! Love you guys--need to search for dinner and return these movies. I am sitting in the living room watching a horrible UNICEF commercial and decided that since this is the last day of the year, I should write about my resolutions for the upcoming year. Typically I don't make them because, hello!, who keeps them! But I've decided to try to keep a few simple ones this year, actually, just two. <ol> <li>Clean my car and keep it clean! Sounds easy, but since I live so far away from my job (30 minutes) and I enjoy a roadtrip from time to time, I live in my car. It is rather embarrassing, and I think it's time to be a grown-up and keep it cleaned.</li> <li>Find a fella'.&nbsp;</li> </ol> Seems silly, right? True love will find you...?&nbsp; Bah. It seems like, since I moved out on my own, that every day I become more and more of a loner. I like my quiet, I don't have to clean up any messes, and I can watch t.v. any time that I want--no one to argue with over channels. On the downside, it does get rather lonely. I come home to a cold, empty house after work with no one to talk to but the dog and cat. I have to make all the decisions on my own. Sometimes, it gets downright depressing. I want to share my life with someone. I want to feel loved and I want to have my own little family. Someone to grocery shop with, someone to cook for, someone to read in bed with by the lamp. Next year, I will be 27. My mom was married and had me by 27. And yes, I know I can't compare myself in that way. I have many accomplishments--two degrees, and a job that I adore (most days!), but I am missing a key piece &nbsp;that will make my life whole.Kids can come later--I have always been on the fence about having my own kids--I am ready for a companion--my true love. What a tangent!
