OD Booster Club

What is the Booster Club?

OD Booster Club was started as a fun way to let our members help us tell the world about our favorite place online - Open Diary. Members help to publicize OD, to help us bring new visitors to the site.

How do I join?

Becoming a member of the Booster Club is easy! Just go to the links to the right, and download some of our pre-made leaflets or signs in PDF format. Once you download them, print them out and find a fun way to get them seen by as many people as possible.

Please remember: DO NOT do anything illegal or dangerous - we don't want anybody scaling bridges to post signs, or dropping thousands of leaflets into Times Square. Please be safe, and be good citizens.

Once you've distributed or posted your signs or leaflets - take a picture. Post that, and a description of what you did in an entry in your diary. This is important, because we would like for your friends to also be able to find out about the Booster Club. Once you have done that, come back here and click the "submit an entry to the Booster Club" link to the right. Tell us about your entry, and an email will be sent to our helpdesk letting us know.

Once we receive the email, and confirm your entry, you will be admitted to the Booster Club!

What do I get?

First, you get the satisfaction of knowing you've helped to let the world know about OD, so more people can visit our happy community.

But wait, there's more - once we have taken a look at your entry, we will add you to the Booster Club Member List (to the right) and you will automatically get the OD Booster Club logo to display in the left side of your diary (for an example, please see the DiaryMaster's diary).

In addition, we will be holding a contest every month, in which we will pick one entry as the most original, or most fun, or most effective Booster Club entry - and that person will win a one-year OD Plus subscription. If you are already an OD Plus subscriber, you are welcome to gift that subscription to one of your friends. Winners will be announced here and in the DiaryMaster's diary, every month.

Do I have to use these, or can I make my own?

What's posted here is just a start - if you would like to suggest something, or send us a PDF file, feel free - we'd love to add more cool downloadable materials.

If you want to make your own sign, or banner, or something else - that's fine too. The important part (for us) is that it includes Open Diary's name and URL (www.opendiary.com). Be as creative as you want - just make sure you get a picture so you can show us.
