Acyclovir appears in breast milk and could affect a nursing infant. Printed with edible black

zovirax clonidine

ink.

Acyclovir is an antiviral drug which acts against the Herpes viruses, including herpes simplex 1 and 2 (cold sores and genital herpes), varicella-zoster (shingles and chicken pox), and the Epstein-Barr virus (mononucleosis). Acyclovir Capsules, Tablets, and Suspension are formulations for oral administration. Each capsule of acyclovir contains 200 mg of acyclovir and the inactive ingredients corn starch, lactose, magnesium stearate, and sodium lauryl sulfate.

Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease. While most of the acyclovir-resistant zovirax mutants isolated thus far from immunocompromised patients have been found to be TK-deficient mutants, other mutants involving the viral TK gene (TK partial and TK altered) and DNA polymerase have been isolated. Renal problems have been reported when given in large, fast doses intravenously, due to the crystallisation of aciclovir in the kidneys.

Aciclovir has a high distribution rate, only 30 % is protein-bound acyclovir cold
