El Coyote Loco - That's me, your narrator, your guide who's lost and trying to figure out who and what he is. Believe the things that I say at face value, for they are always true at the moment I speak them. As for tomorrow; what words endure, even in this? Do not even footprints left in stone eventually get worn away by wind, weather and sand? My mission statement (courtesy of she who shadow walks):
To dance and laugh whenever I can, and to share the spirit of the music and the joy of the laughter with anyone who will listen. And to make those who will not, try.
This is a snapshot of my journey, such as it is, feeling like I never go anywhere, yet I get so far out sometimes I don't recognize myself...
One of my favorite quotes, which I've received from several different sources, so I don't know who first said it (a dedicated entry to whomever can cite me the author):
Work like you don't need the money.
Dance like nobody's watching.
Love like you've never been hurt.
My very own corollary (thanks to Raven O'Fiernan) for the Open Diarists I have come to know and enjoy, and also for you, reading me for the first time:
Write like you think nobody's reading.
Live like you know everybody cares.
Walk forward in your life like you've never fallen before.
Here's what you need to know about reading my diary;
- This diary is full of Coyote teachings, lessons in life which have some tangent on my life, but aren't truly about it. You can pretty much pick an entry randomly and maybe you'll learn something. Maybe you won't. Your mileage may vary.
- The Friday entries are always dedicated to someone else whose life I've touched upon. Because my life is often changed by other people, and sometimes I bring a fragment of their lives back home with me, transformed.
- However, any entry marked Following My Own Tail is about my life, which I don't find quite interesting enough to merit daily entries, but once in awhile, sure. It's also where you'll find a short digest format of the entries between Tails, if you don't have time to read everything.
Enjoy the moment, follow my path for a time, or walk on; it's up to you.
Oh yes. This diary is naturally, copyrighted (2000-2012) by its real life author. Anyone else would have trouble fitting in my shoes if they ever asked you to write more of it. Not to mention getting a visit from Coyote himself. Coyote protects her own.
