~*Some Basics*~ My name is Joel and i'm a junior at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA. I have a lot of interests: My girlfriend Robin, meeting new people, playing my trumpet, Texas Hold 'Em Poker, having fun with friends, chatting online, reading, collecting basketball cards, watching TV, Family Guy, Futurama, playing computer games, some DDR, bowling, Yahoo! Dominoes...to name a few stuff...haha...

~*School Life*~ Well you've stumbled upon my opendiary so here's a little about myself:

 I'm a currently a senior biology major with a concentration in biomedical science in his 3rd year at Northwestern State University. I have earned my minor in chemistry and am working to finish up my microbiology minor this semester. I would like to attend a graduate school back in Texas to pursue a Ph.D in microbiology, molecular biology, or related field and become a college professor or work in the research industry.

I try to be involved with campus activities. I help a professor in researching specific chromosome break points (fragile sites) during illegitimate mating of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. We are using S. cerevisiae as a model organism in determining similarities between mammalian fragile sites and these yeast fragile sites to tumor and cancer formation.

If i'm not in class, i'm either doing my duties as tutor coordinator at the Health and Human Performance Building, exercising at the WRAC, taking a break at my apartment, or doing other things at various locations on campus.

~*Personal Life*~ Yeah, i like my privacy for the most part and i'm a very shy kind of person. I don't party, I don't drink, I don't smoke; i scorn those things. Yeah i'm dull go figure eh?

To the few people here at NSU and back in Texas and abroad who are my friends, I love you all and y'all are great!

I have a super awesome girlfriend who I just love soooo much! I love you Robin! WOO!!! She's great so great...i can't wait to see her again! It's just been so wonderful...i don't know what I would be without her. She is my Tigress and I never want to let her go. She is mine. We've been together for almost a year and half and i'm so blessed to have Robin!
