What to say? At the time I'm writing this, I'm a 26-year-old, married American living near Tübingen in Germany. I hope none of that changes... but I doubt that time will make an exception for me and let me stay 26 for more than one year!
"If you cannot get rid of the family skeleton, you may as well make it dance."
- George Bernard Shaw
I'm one of twelve children, and we definitely like to make the family skeleton dance! A lot of my entries are about my mundane everyday life, but I frequently refer to my husband and my siblings and the chaos of our lives. I could list all of my family members... but I won't. Instead, I'll just name the people that I talk about most here.
Leo - aka the Hubs - Leo's from Estonia but sadly doesn't have citizenship anywhere. His mother tongue is Russian but he also speaks a billion other languages. We got married in 2008 and can't seem to sit still for more than a year or two. That's us in the picture. We want children, mostly because we act like kids ourselves and need a cover for our behavior!
Boogie - aka Sweet Pea - Boogie is our Yorkie/Shih Tzu dog, fluent in English, German and Russian! He flew with me to Germany and hasn't looked back since!
Molly - Molly is the oldest of the siblings. She's hilarious and loves to talk although I haven't talked to her in a while. Probably because I feel guilty for not being there for her. She's had a few serious medical problems, but at the moment everything seems to be okay.
Bonnie - aka Boobs, Boobie, Boobaroonie, etc - Bonnie's the second oldest of my siblings. She's always been there to catch me when I fall. She's like the mom I didn't have.. which is probably why I'm always so hurt when she's disappointed or irritated with me. Despite that, we get along great and have a ton of fun whenever we get together!
Grace - aka Gracie Poot - Grace and I always shared a room growing up. I can completely be myself around her without feeling judged, which tends to result in me acting way too immature for my age. She's going to be a baker someday, and I've decided that she's going to move to Germany and we're going to open a German/American bakery together. It's going to be amazing. Just wait.
Scarlett - Scarlett's one of my younger sisters. She was very negatively affected by our home environment growing up. She wants to be liked and really tries to make people happy... she just doesn't quite know the right way to go about it. She lived with me and Leo for a year, and we realized quickly how damaged she is. Despite all the turmoil while living with us, I still talk to her and try to be a good influence.
That's the big picture. The rest is just details.

Sincerely,
dein Schatzilein
