Who am I? Although I often ask myself that same question, I have some details that provide an answer to those asking the question from a higher level.
I grew up in a suburb of Washington DC. My dad worked for the Fed. Government, and our daily newspaper carried more politics and international news in one day than some newspapers write about in a year. So, naturally, when I finished high school I went on to study Political Science at a small state college. Following my graduation I spent nearly ten years working on Capital Hill. I call those my "public service" years. At that time computers were becoming more and more prevalant, and I found myself spending as much time managing fledgling networks as I was working on legislative matters. In the end I grew tired of the commute and the low pay and left politics for the corporate IT world. I have used my programming and administrative skills to work in many different areas of IT at several different companies. I am now employed by a large hospitality company where I work in the Information Resources department. I still enjoy politics and I am an unabashed liberal.

This is fun. States I've visited are in red, states I've been meaning to visit in white.

And let's not leave out the rest of the world. Lots of unshaded countries that I intend to visit.
