"It's always an adventure." That's my philosophy. Life is always an adventure. There's always something new to learn and something wonderful to experience. It's like a big book, and I can't wait to see what happens to the main character next. I hope that I'll be able to express this to you, even during the not-so-wonderful times.
My interests are varied: I am domestically inclined in that I love to cook and I keep my house clean, but nothing is "do not touch". I believe in functional aesthetics; it can look good and still be usable. A house is to be lived in, not just looked at. I prefer classical music but do appreciate all genres.
I enjoy the art of craft (work that is) as is revealed by my work history: I've been a car hop, short order cook, volunteered for the Red Cross, worked at a zoo, been in the military, worked as a pharmacy tech, been an assistant wrangler and had a walk-on part in a movie production, and I'm currently working as a Youth Minister, a paramedic, and a licensed massage therapist. I have my degree in prehospital medical technologies, and I've been known to tutor on subjects from cave sciences to anatomy and physiology to music theory (I LOVE teaching; there's nothing like seeing the little light of knowledge pop on when someone is granted a new wonder and understanding). I've also held numerous volunteer and short-term positions that I won't list here. I do these only because I enjoy them. Everything I've done has granted a new wonder and perspective on life.
My move, and newest chapter of adventure, was partially for a "change of scenery", but mostly so I could return to school in the hopes of becoming a physician. But there's a lot to do before I'll earn the title of Doctor. I'm sure that the road to that title will be anything but boring.
For those who may be curious: I'm single, have never been married, and have no children. One of my hopes is to find the right someone with which to have a family.
