Karl and I went thrift shopping today. As soon as we walked into the store I noticed an unhappy woman walking towards the door. She angrily said "Don't call me stupid." I thought she was talking to a friend or a boyfriend. An employee retorted to her "I'm not calling what you did stupid, trying to steal is stupid." The woman left without doing any physical harm. After she left the same employee said "I can't believe people try to steal right in front of us" to her co-worker. I was curious about what she had found so enticing that she decided to attempt to steal it. After that we wandered around the store. I was looking through bibles and found one that had writing on many pages stains and even records of births and marriage in the family. On a piece of looseleaf taped to a page near the back was a letter. I am paraphrasing but this is pretty much what it had on it. "Dear Karen I believe in God my Dad doesn't like that I am into religion. I want to go to church but he won't let me." Such an odd letter to be taped and placed in there. Yesterday I bought a fiber optic lamp. I will post a pic of it. I don't want to use it often because I'm not sure if I can even get a replacement bulb. The flowers rotate and change different colors. And it looks as though the water is going down when it is turned on. I also found a book of retro recipes. I do want to start cooking more often. I also found a Juicy Coutre hoodie today and a set of pyrex forest mushroom bowls. They were super expensive for a thrift store find. They are in brand new condition though.
