Summer

Summer's come this way
Again its brought a change
You know it always seems to me
That nothing lasts forever
These moments here and now
Blurred by the uncertainty
We all guard our insecurities
Hidden from the world

Walking in the dark
This creeping possibility
That I will find my way again
Back into the light
With wisdom comes regrets
Irreversible impurities
We all got our small dependancies
They haunt us all our lives

Certain we are right
Whatever we attempt to chase
We're not content with all that we embrace
Round and round it goes
Sticking to whats safe
Never jump out on that limb
Never acting on a whim
You're rotting in your place

Considering the past
The years have gone by so fast
You know it always seems to me
That pain can last forever
These seconds here and now
Awed with your ability
To tell all that lurks inside of me
Hidden from the world

i think the true sign of a "good" writer is when they can describe something so convincingly, that the reader feels as though they're actually feeling what they're reading.

i'm feeling it.
