Yesterday was my dads birthday...yup...he turned 54.  To me it doesn't seem like he is that old.  I don't want him to get older...I want him to be around the rest of my life.  I love him sooo much!  I had to work yesterday until 4 but after that I went home and ran some errands for my mom.  I got my dad a birthday cake...one that I knew he would love.  And I was right!!  :)  It was a chocolate cake with white icing and oreo crumbs and 2 whole oreos on top.  Oreos are my dads favorite cookie!  hehe...I just love him so much.  Next Thursday when I get my next pay check I am taking him out to dinner where ever he wants to go.  I am excited to be able to hang out with JUST him and not having my brother or mom around.  I hope he picks somewhere extra yummy!  I told him we could go to Topeka or KC if there is a restraunt he wants to go to that is not here in Lawrence.  We will see where he picks!
