See them/her dancing before your eyes
Is it just a trick of your eyes and mind
Or do you have to believe just to see
There are far greater pains than being alone
And far greater sorrows than not being in love
And far greater worries than your phone not ringing

Everyone's an amateur, 'cept for the fools who think they know
Everybody's lost, the moment they set foot on the ground
And still most anyone wants somebody to be waiting when they get home
The greater the expectations, the deeper the fall
Even you're willing to travel far, it doesn't mean you'll learn that much more
You might see the airwaves, but it could be just a mirage

Let the feelings come, let the reasons wash you away
Talking at someone is easier at a comfortable distance
The distance between ourselves and the horizon seems to be forever growing
There's no comfort, it's just not safe all the way in between
We can walk so much further alone but never get where we need to be going
And we can lose so much to strangers that we'll never find a home

There'll always be things we'd wish we'd never said
Words we wish we'd never uttered to another person
Feelings that we wish we'd kept hidden for all eternity
But what we wish we'd done ain't ever gonna be what really did happen
It's just another addition to our long list of regrets and sacrifices
We're not victims, we are all just thoughtless sometimes

I'll be forever thankful for what you taught me and gave to me
I'll be forever lost cos you gave up and ran away
These games everybody plays, clouds our mind like airwaves
We'll never see, never trust, never love, til we set ourselves free
See the images, see her, feel her, kiss her, wave goodbye to the mirage
It's time to let go, time to turn your sights within
