My soul rests. For now. I spent this past weekend in absolute bliss, wandering the streets of old New Orleans, imagining what it must have been like hundreds of years ago. I walked hand in hand with my love, searching for oysters and voodoo shops. It wasn't terrible to leave him this time. He'll be home 3 weeks from today. I miss him already, though I just left him 2 nights ago. But it's not the urgent, painful, diseased distress I felt before. It's not the infected, sick feeling I've had for the past three months. I feel like I can smile again. We've decided instead of getting married in Key West at sunset, to get married in the middle of Bourbon street, beads and all.
