time for plan b? Saturday, January 28, 2012

last weekend was exciting(i also felt a hell of a lot better) with aidan's birthday weekend.this week i had gawd awful pms-which nathan caught the brunt of-his teacher on monday popped another we have a project due on friday.nathan honestly does not like any history(didnt care which drove me up the wall)&it was a report on the history of elections(ok i know i heard a snore there-wake up).baboo had to go out of town (no interview-no idea what is going on with that)for a client a hunting resort in lake ockachobee?i know werid!for three days so it was up to me.im not a good anal retentive parent&as you can tell by the condition of my diary, not good at the techie stuff in life-baboo is my techie person&the printer is out of ink!hauled all three boys to the library and after two hrs-nada-saw nathans's (anal neat freak) teacher and it opened her eyes to what i go thru withe the kids-she was concerned we didnt have internet-i told nate tell her tomorrow "no the printer is not working"(it likes printing recipes multiple times on its own)so i obsessed a little&one of our mom friends let nathan use her comptuer to type out his report after i threatened him several times with no internet,tv computer on sunday! nathan turned in his project&said the whole class received an a-miracle i know!some didnt print out their report-whatever.
nathan is freaking out about middle school he did a shadowing on wednesday&said" middle schoolers are mean"(i told him so true that is every where tho)&there was some sort of drama on the school campus.i mailed off his forms for the magnet programs he has excellent fcats scores&grades were good..now to see if he gets in!also most of his friends from cubscouts are crossing over to boy scouts&dropping out-baboo is ok with this&nate wants to drop out just when the stuff gets better!he needs to do something next yr-he was talking about joining band where ever he gos!i want him to stick is out one yr in scouts&if it doesnt get better yeah then quit.
they are doing testing with vpk&i dont think flynn is going to pass in the letter recognization&numbers i think they are going to suggest we hold him back-which would mean paying the school $150 a month, which baboo does not want to do.
so i have cramps as flynn announced this morning&his on off again "grill friend" at vpk had them too last week.i have a feeling the boys are going to be disappointed that this is going to be a slow weekend-ho well!

Teaching English for a year to children 4-9 in a private school on Jeju Island. She has a BA in nursing and is a RN, pediatric nurse. Always was torn between nursing, always employable, and teaching--low salaries, etc. So here was a chance to teach chlldren and travel and give to the world something needed. All. [Sago] 1/29/2012 7:57:26 AM
my goodness--what a week you are having! Hold on--rest up. Do you know the benefits to students of playing in a band ensemble? If not let me know and I'll send you the long list. I didn't know and wish I had at my children's middle school level. Plus, a set of friends engaged with something positive when he enters high school, the totally scary move. Learning to play an instrument stimulates the part of the brain where math skills live-especially important for students.

O how I could have used that but alack alas, didn't happen. I'm a math wimp, myself.  [Sago]

Man, the kid stuff. It's a wonder you sometimes don't run screaming from the room. I can't believe Nathan is already doing the middle school thing. Ugh... you made me feel older than I already am! --- [Anon1965] 2/1/2012 10:33:51 AM
