So, last night I was trying to figure out when I'd be able to see Kevin again. I got his work schedule from him and mentioned we should do a movie or something this weekend. Well, he has tentative plans for this weekend, but got back to me with "drinks & a movie tonight?"

We got down to Waterloo and decided we'd rather eat supper before the show than try to find an open restaurant after, so we went to Long John Silvers (romantic, eh? lol). He loves their greasy fish and I hadn't eaten there in forever, so it was a good idea. We had some great conversation while we ate, and lost track of time, so no movie. Decided to go straight to the bar from the restaurant. His friend owns the bar, so I kinda felt like a fish out of water at first. It wasn't so bad after a few drinks. People got friendlier as the night progressed (as they typically do when alcohol flows).

Then out of the blue at the bar, he turns to me and says (paraphrasing here), "You know you're only about a week or two from getting me to commit?" I was kinda shocked, cuz we haven't had a convo like this in a while and certainly not in public. So I responded with, "well, the way I figure it, I've waited 30 years, what's another...." He cut in, "few days"...I said, "Days, weeks, months...In the grand scheme of things, it's not a lot, and I think you're worth the wait" Then he said, "Don't take this the wrong way, but whoever ends up with you, whether it's me or someone else, whoever it is will be a lucky man." I said, "well, for the record, I hope it's you." For that brief moment, we were the only people in the bar. Nothing/no one else mattered. It was awesome. I am a firm believer in "drunk statements are sober thoughts" and well, it wasn't like he was just tryin' to get in my pants. He already knew I was taking him home. So yeah, it's nice to know that things are progressing. :)

Fell asleep in his arms again. Very addictive. Love it when he holds me so tight. :)
