Happy New Year! 1/2/2005

Yea, I know I'm a day late to say this, but I'll say it anyway.  Happy 2005!  As tradition follows, my parents and I went to a movie and dinner.  We saw "Polar Express," which I loved because I grew up with the book.  I had the whole set - the book, bell, and tape!  Surprisingly, the theater filled with children remained quiet most of the way through the movie.  The animation seemed very real and the movie was just great!  Then we had dinner at the Macaroni Grill - awesome bread, good dinner, and delicious dessert!  I had fun with my parents.  However, I was bummed that my plans to stay over my friend's apartment became cancelled only two days prior.  I wanted to go somewhere!  Sometime later, my brother and his girlfriend came home.  Basically, I was like, "look at me, this is what I'm doing for New Year's."  So, my brother invited me to come with them to his friend's house.  I wasn't sure at first, but then decided to go along.  It turned out to be fun because I saw friends of his I had not seen in the longest time but had known them.  We didn't get there until 11:45 and everyone was drunk - I think that's probably why Nick and Mike hugged me when we said hi lol.  When the ball dropped and all the couples kissed, I felt a little lonely but oh well.  It was a fun night because we all hung out and did silly drunk things.  Most of the time, we were downstairs in the basement area that had a kitchen and tv lounge area.  Some people went upstairs and started to do gymnastics on the hardwood floor above us.  It sounded painful, and I'm sure people woke up with bruises lol.  Around 2:30, we left and dropped Mike and his girlfriend off at his parents and went back home.  And that was my first official New Year's celebration with alcohol. :P

I think it sounds like a splendid New Year's. :)  [kimberly.] 1/2/2005 1:29:04 PM

Sounds a lot more eventful than my new years! Although I did do some hardcore treadmilling while listening to Incubus =D Glad to hear your new year is off to a good start - especailly since all those kids were quiet at the movie.

DorkAlert left the above unsigned note, I don't know why it logged me out. [DorkAlert] 1/4/2005 9:54:05 PM
RYN: Yeah, not that I’m in school I’m really missing those lazy days!! I shouldn’t have complained when I had them, lol. …and as far as missing the ball drop, I presume it is the same every year – just a different year. Lol So I didn’t miss much – and I’ll certainly never forget this year! [buttersub] 1/5/2005 4:15:26 PM
ryn: Hmm... both, I believe? It says "Economics 201: Macro/Micro"

Hell if I know. Haha ;)

Sorry I've been such a terd about noting lately. I promise I'm reading!  [kimberly.]
