RIP J Henry Sunday, July 10, 2011

My name is Jaime, I am J Henry's sister in law. I am writing to let you all know that he passed away in June. Our family is absolutely devestated and are trying to come to terms with his unexpected death. We thought that his Open Diary fans would want to know. Thank you all for following his diary over the years, and please keep us all in your prayers.

I am so, so sorry for your loss. He was an amazing, wonderful person who shared a part of himself with those of us lucky enough to have been able to read his personal diary. Wow. I am so sorry. [Self Revelation]

I am genuinely shocked and saddened by this news. While I didn't know him personally, he always had a wonderful spirit. He joked with me via notes on many an occasion. I'm going to miss him as I have done these past months. [Rusted Armour]

I'm so sorry. Though I wasn't able to read most of his entries, he is one of my bookmarked. I may not know him personally, but I know he's a good person. I am so devastated and shocked to hear about this. May he rest in peace. Henry, we love you... [A Fleeting Mind]

I don't know if anyone checks this site anymore but I wanted to say that with his death J Henry saved me. His death really crushed me, I cared about him a lot. Even though I never met him, he meant a lot to me. So smart, funny, self-aware . . . I have been so hurt by his death that I decided that it would be so horrible for everyone I left behind if I did the same thing. I have struggled with depression, suicidal thoughts and a lot of pain since I was a kid. I've been on every anti-depressant on the market. But the one thing that stops me in my tracks is that I miss J Henry like mad. And I am just a blog reader. I can't imagine how his family and real friends have been destroyed by him being gone.

So everytime I feel that low I get strength to go on because I can't bear to leave my people behind.

I loved J Henry.

There's a song called "A Little Bit of Everything" by Dawes -- makes me think of J Henry.

I hope he can see us. I hope he knows that I love him and he has given me strength. [Sunshine, Lollipops]

I used to work with J at the hotel. I had no idea that this happened until I just read this and I am DEVASTATED. J was AMAZING. -Rock
