The seventh and eighth graders had been at "Confirmation Camp" all week and came home filled with enthusiasm and excitement. They shared some of their lessons with the congregation at all the weekend services, with only a little help from some adults. One of the adult helpers was our son, who did special music along with his eighth grader, Rusty, and the youth minister. The theme from Camp was "Grace" and Mike and Rusty do a really wild rendition of "Grace Like Rain" which is a take-off on "Amazing Grace". They toned down the loud, rock guitar part and played real nice. I never, ever heard Mike sing better. Other boys read scripture and did skits to illustrate. Several, along with Rusty and the minister, played the prelude with guitars, and and other stringed instruments and led us in some of their camp songs. Funny, none of the girl campers participated in the service.
