The more I read about the Columbine shootings the more intrigued I am, and the angrier I get. But not angry in the way you think I would be. The shootings happened when I was in year 11. All I heard all of year 11 and 12, and still the last couple of years when I ever talk to people from school about it, is how much of a MARTYR Cassie Bernall was, and how much of an inspiration Rachel Scott was. If I hear that one more time I think I might vomit. Heartless as that may seem, if you knew as much about the incident as I do, you'd probably say the same thing. Unless of course you're a christian in which case you'd find some way to twist it all around.

I'll get to the point- there were NO martyrs at the Columbine high school massacre, Let me say it again... THERE WERE NO MARTYRS AT THE COLUMBINE HIGH SCHOOL MASSACRE.

The story of how Cassie Bernall said "yes" is famous now, throughout every church and every christian school no doubt. Cassie Bernall did not say "yes". Every police report proves this. You just have to do the research to find that out. What really happened then?

Cassie Bernall was hiding under a desk in the library... Eric and Dylan entered the libraray, Eric was walking past the desk and saw them hiding under it. He banged his fist on the top of the desk twice, knealt down and said "Peek-a-boo" and shot and killed Cassie Bernall. People think that because he killed her and not her friend, that they were targeting christians. That was wrong. When he knealt down to shoot her, the kick from the shot gun actually broke his nose. He stood up because his was nose bleeding and broken, and then saw someone else hiding that he started shooting at.

There were witness reports that a girl in the library was heard saying "yes" when a gunmen asked them if they believed in god. This is only partly true. Dylan shot at people hiding in a group under the table, hitting four people. He was walking away when he heard one of the girls, Valeen Schnurr start crying and saying "Oh god help me!". He turned around and asked her if she believe in god. Thinking he would kill her if she said she did, she said NO. Then after a moment, she said "yes". Dylan looked at her and asked her "why?" and then walked away. She was asked AFTER she was shot. Not before. And she said NO first, in fear of her life.

The main witness who said that Cassie said yes, was asked afterwards during the investigation to point to the table where he heard this take place, he pointed to the table where Valeen Schnurr had hidden under.

Hear that all you Cassie Bernall fans? Valeen Schnurr didn't even say YES when asked if she believed in god! There were no martyrs at Columbine High.. if anything the only people who died for what they truly believed in were the gunmen. As horrible as that sounds it's true.

The other common misconception is that they were targeting christians, blacks, and jocks. That is complete bull$hit. Most people believed that seeing as there only 10 of the 56 people in the library were killed, Eric and Dylan must've been selecting out people. But when you take into consideration that from the 56 people in the library at the same time as the gunmen, 12 were shot and wounded, and 10 others were shot and killed. The rest of the people were either shot at, or were hiding.

This was indiscriminatory hate. There was no one targeted. A diversionary bomb was set to detonate in a field away from the hill, so that full emergencey services would not be available when they began shooting. 30 home made bombs were exploded at Columbine, 46 more bombs were planted around the school that were unlexploded. Two 20lb propane gas tank bombs were placed in the cafeteria. The plan was that that not only would they be shooting, but the blasts and explosions from the other bombs would detonate any that did not go off, and set the school on fire. Had the propane tanks exploded as planned in the cafeteria when aproximately 488 people were inside, most would've been killed. It was set to detonate at 11:17, the time the gunmen had found that the most number of students were to be inside. They didn't go off as planned, and so Eric and Dylan went in shooting. The cafeteria security footage shows Eric shooting at the tank, before it explodes.

Their cars were parked in the two main carparks where the entrances to the building was, and where emergencey vehicles would be parked. Dylans car had 12 bombs inside, including a car bomb on the engine, and Eric's had one. The plan was to kill as many emergency service people as possible. 6 more bombs were found at Dylan's house, and 2 more at Eric's. Between them they had four shot guns, and about 6 knives. In fact the writings of Eric Harris in his journal (that spans over a year before the actual attacks) state how he hates EVERYONE. EVERYONE. He wanted everyone dead. This was indiscriminatory hate and killings. And anyone who thinks different can kiss my ass.
