I was awake anyway this morning so gave AgentX a lift to the early train - it seemed a little churlish not to, especially when my day consists of having lunch with Alan the Geek and doing a little light social media campaign for a client... I might even have a little snooze before lunch - oh, how productive my life has become!
Yesterday I finally finished off my handover notes yesterday and TypingDemon is entirely on the ball pointing out a few glitches which have been straightened out and clarified. So I can hand over pretty much any time from now onwards... Hurrah!
Princess Sparkle spent all day yesterday sleeping in our bed, as encourage by AgentX who kept on saying "Aw - but she's so cute, leave her be!" which of course meant that the little rat-bag spent all last night running around upstairs - keeping AgentX awake. Unsurprisingly he thinks she is less cute this morning, particularly since rather a lot of it was spent being super-vocal and wanting to be picked up. (Yes, she did get her own way, I picked her up - she has me well trained!). I know I'm supposed to be cutting down the amount of attention she gets so it's not a rude shock when the baby arrives, but actually I'm not seeing why I can't just carry on as normal - she does get lots of attention, but she also spends big tranches of time being on her own, sleeping or being told to be quiet and to go away. The baby isn't going to know any different if he gets handed to Daddy/Indiegirl for a bit whilst Princess Sparkle has cuddles with me, but Princess Sparkle values my attention more than anyone else's in the world, so she'll definitely notice and start acting up - which is what I'm trying to avoid. She's been so good about all the new furniture/baby stuff so far, I'm really hoping she just takes it in her stride.
