A very busy weekend with Amellia who didn't feel well at all. The conjunctivitis was in both eyes and they were running all the time and looked really sore. We had to put cream in them four times a day and it was horrible seeing her distress. We also had Mark here all the weekend! Areasha texted at 2pm on Saturday to say that Amellia was ready to be collected. Just by coincidence, Mark texted a couple of minutes later to say that he was thinking about coming over to see Amellia, so David picked him up at the same time. Then Roz came over and offered to take us out somewhere so that Amellia could get some fresh air and see some new sights. After spoiling the day out the previous Sunday by answering for everybody and saying no when we were going to go out, he didn't dare to say no on Saturday! We went to a place in the Pentland hills for a walk. There is a bird shelter by the water where food is put out for the birds and all serious bird watchers go with their binoculars and write down all the birds that they've seen. Roz said that last time they went she was with Lesley and Adam. A couple of blue tits landed, and Adam said "that's a couple of nice tits". Even the serious bird watchers found it difficult to not smile! As you see it was a cold day and we dressed warmly!
Mark wouldn't let me take any pics of him at all because he's so self concious about his weight at the moment! Roz took us back home, then went away as she had something else planned. Mark then asked if he could stay the night as he wanted to be with Amellia. I was happy with that as he wasn't in a nasty mood and there was no drink. As well as that I thought that Amellia would likely wake up a lot in the night as she wasn't well, and he could have the cot in his room and get up with her. He's actually fantastic with Amellia. She just woke up twice in the night and as I always get up early, I then had her while he went back to sleep. Literally all day he was playing with her, fussing over her and seeing to her needs. He absolutely adores her. It's a pity that he can't be the same in his relationship with Areasha! Amellia is sitting up on her own now, but her physical development is slow. She looks the size of a baby aged five months, not nearly eight months, and still has no teeth and little hair! After wearing the harness for three months she's still reluctant to put any weight on her legs. And I think that they ought to do something about those ears!! It looks cute as a baby, but she won't be happy if they're still like that when she's in her teens! She's absolutely fine mentally though. She's very alert and has just learned how to clap her hands and she does it all the time!
Look at her poor eyes!
She hasn't been eating very well lately and refused to eat off the spoon, so we just let her eat scrambled egg with her fingers. What a mess she made though!
In the afternoon we decided to go to Linlithgow so that she could see the ducks and swans on the loch. I've never seen her so miserable before though. She just kept crying and then falling asleep. The only time she looked cheerful for a few minutes was when we put her on the swing!
She wasa lot more cheerful when we got home and ate her dinner! Mark was asking me if I thought that he would be able to get back with Areasha. I told him that he'd have to talk to her, not me, and he'd have to stop drinking and show her a bit of respect. Later on she sent me this message. yes i just had a cuddle for 5mins before i put her down she is screaming just now but is exhausted, ive missed her but was glad to get the break. its easy for us to say that we love each other n want to b together but i feel as if we have went backwards and r back to square 1 with the trust, volatile, lack of respect, n our passion for each other is certainly coming out but in such a negative manner?! i dont want us to end up hating each other amellia comes first now, i think he just takes our relationship for granted n can do wot he wants n il always end up running bak to him, as even alex said its always me chasing him after an arguement even if its been his fault, so not doing it this time, but its hard as i do love him! just going to focus on my swimming thru the week and get the rest of the house painted keep busy! xx I don't think that she'll give in easily to Mark this time! She said this morning that she's now ill as well. She has swollen glands and it looks as though she's caught what Alex had. And Alex is ill yet again! Roz went to a street party yesterday to celebrate the jubilee. She made this cake. Her impression of the Queen!
Fang, Roz, Lesley and Adam, who got married a few weeks ago!
I phoned Kate to see if she'd been to the hospital to have Brandon's finger x-rayed. She said that it wasn't broken but that there was a torn ligament. He has to wear a bandage for a week and not use it, so he was looking forward to going to school and doing no work! It was his left hand and he's left handed. Roz said that Joshua in India is pestering her for money again! She worked at his school in Bidar for a while, then I went back with her the next year. He then decided to build a new school. A lot of the friends and families who had worked over there contributed. I think he still underestimated how much it was going to cost though. He's a Christian and he practises Christianity! He invited us to his house for a meal when we were there and the house was full of orphans that he'd taken in, and he slept on the floor! Anyway, £50 is a great deal of money to him, so David and Roz are paying it between them I have to send it by Western Union because of Roz's job. All her finances have been vetted and she said that if she sends money to India they might think that she's funding some terrorist organisation! I'll have to try and work out if I can do it online after I've finished this! It's also Alex's sports day at school and she's asked me to go this afternoon, so I'm not going to have time to go to the gym. I've hardly got any work but I've hardly got any time these days!
