I fell asleep at 8.45 last night and didn't wake up until after 7.00. That's what happens when I'm woken up the morning before at 4.00! I seem to need my sleep more than most people and have rarely had insomnia as my body wouldn't let it happen. Mark said that if I'd just left Amellia in the cot lying down she would have just gone back to sleep, but although I've always done this in the past and she had gone back to sleep, I don't think that she had any intention of doing so yesterday! First of all it was light at 4.00 so she thought it was morning. Secondly her eyes were wide open and she was clapping, singing and shouting, and thirdly, however tightly I tucked her in, she still managed to kick off all of her covers! Anyway, she went back to sleep at 6.30 but slept for less than an hour and only had another hours sleep in the afternoon! At 7.30 I had you-tube on and was playing nursery rhymes with her sitting in front of the computer dancing with her hands. She gets quite carried away and her big eyes get bigger and bigger as she gets excited. Her favourites seem to be "London Bridge is Falling Down" and "The Wheels on the Bus ". She's so good natured which is a surprise as she comes from two such volatile parents! She never seems to cry and Areasha says that she never hears her cry at home, so it's not just here. I just wish that she'd sleep right through the night! I think that I was lucky with my two as they both slept through at six weeks old and only ever woke up if they were ill! David and I both took her for a walk and she went on the swing in the park. When Mark came over later we went out again and she went on the swing again. She has got a temper though! I try to give her the same as we eat, mashed up, but I hadn't got anything suitable at lunchtime, so I decided to give her a packet meal. She saw me walk past with the packet and got excited. I made it up and then left it to cool for a couple of minutes. When I went back into the room without it she started shouting at me, and if looks could kill I would be dead! A few more pictures!
Mark didn't stay for too long because Alex was going to the Isle of Bute the next day to stay with her gran, and she wanted to see her sister before she went! I never mentioned Mark going back to Areasha when he was here. Nothing really to say. It's just a never ending circle of fights and reconciliations! They're both so different to calm Roz and Iain who never seem to show much emotion! Mark was on Facebook while he was here and wrote something on the lines of "I'm so lucky to have found someone that I want to spend the rest of my days with. Thank you Miss Cassidy!" It was actually in Scottish slang but I won't write it so nobody understands! Madness! I've never known another relationship like it! Little Alex is used to it now and sighs like her mum does, and I do! Mark said that he felt a lot better after starting his new anti-depressants, but I'm quite sure that they haven't started to work after just three days! David is being difficult as usual! He suddenly says that he wants to go and visit his parents this week and stay over for the night and take Amellia as his parents are now in their eighties and have never seen her. I heard him telling Mark that we'd probably go on Wednesday and come back on Thursday. He knows well that the Lyalls are bringing the guinea pigs round on the Thursday, so I told him that I could go on the Tuesday and come back on the Wednesday, but I had to be here for when they bring them on Thursday or I couldn't go. He said that I'd have to be in the car for Amellia and why was I silly enough to have taken on the gerbils and guinea pigs anyway? I told him that there was nothing wrong with helping people out, and I wouldn't have agreed to it if I'd have known that he was going to be on holiday and we might do something, but as usual he hadn't communicated! He said that I'd have to get the guinea pigs early, but I can't very well ask for them on Tuesday instead of Thursday and tell them that I'm going away for the night. I suppose I could always ask Joan next door to feed them for a night, but it annoys me that David always does things like that without thinking of other people! It's pouring with rain as usual, but I'm going to the gym in half an hour!
