|My Family and Other Animals|
It seems I haven't updated in forever! I'm just lazy as I tend to look at everything on my phone these days, but I have a shedload of photos I wanted to share.
For the past two Mondays, John and I have been going for walks. We tried to find the nearby stone circle, but were pushed for time last week and doubled back on ourselves. These are photos from last week:
That's where I live!
Poor John sneezed all the way up. It was relentless, poor chap.
I'd never seen these before. Apparently they're Spheridium scarabaeoides and I can't find a common name apart from water beetle. Which they evidently aren't!
I felt like a giant in amongst the tiny trees!
My dad saw a ghost in this pic! Can you see it too?
Tasty wood sorrel.
I like this, it looks like veins.
The dinner John cooked me the other night. Mushrooms and lettuce cooked in oyster sauce topped with a steak. Nom nom!
Isabel and Anna decorating the bridge. It's since been taken down because the wind had ripped it. Boo!
Rob took this picture of Eleanor watching the F1. :o)
This was the walk we did this Monday:
We found a stuck sheep. John thought it was just scratching itself until I pointed out that sheep don't do that. They have sharp hooves, so he pushed it over with his foot. He's not kicking it!
The stone circle was slightly underwhelming, haha! But I enjoyed the walk.
This cow looks like No Face!
The river almost back to normal. If you compare it to my video in the last entry, you will understand what a relief this is!
I've been busy knitting again! This is my own design, a Victorian collar. I love it! Almost as soon as I posted a pic of it on Facebook, my friend ordered one off me. :o)
Going the whole hog in my beautiful dress I got from Suze. :o) Ah, I need to find a reason to go out in public like this. :o)
That's it. You can go. :op
