"that you can't wait to see me again..." See You Again - Miley Cyrus *hangs head in shame* So we have found our photgrapher. We went and met him at his (spotless) house on Tuesday night and he went through his pricing and what kind of photos he likes to take and asked us what sort of places we would like photos taken, where our wedding was etc. He was very friendly and we all clicked straight away. He showed us a slideshow of his work and I could immediately see me and my bridesmaids faces in some of the photos, especially the candid ones where they are mucking around and having fun. That's the sort of photos I really want. Of course I want the formal family ones and bridal party etc but I want a lot of them to reflect the fun of the day. We told him we would let him know but we are pretty happy with his professionalism and quality. He is quite expensive, we are looking at about $3000 for 7-8 hours coverage and for the proofs on a dvd but at the end of the day the photos are all you have left to really show for the wedding. So we want them to be great. And later on down the track we can get enlargements and albums done, but first of all we just want as many photos as possible to keep from the day.
I had the longest day yesterday...it is our end of month week and of course everything has been handed in at the last minute so I was overloaded with paperwork. The bosses were constantly coming in and saying 'how much invoicing do we have left to do?' We? I don't see anybody else doing it! I think I left my desk 3 times yesterday, purely because if I wandered away I knew i wouldnt want to go back to it so I figured I would get myself into the zone and stay there. All day. I got most of it done but didnt get lunch or anything, and it was making me mad hearing all the other staff chatting and wandering around the office like it was just another day. The thing is though nobody can really help me out because nobody else knows my job. Nobody knows anybody elses job but their own, and I got the short straw out of the office. I wont be in any hurry today though, hence my writing in here. At the end of the day they dont give a shit if you sat at your computer for 8 hours until your bum was numb and your eyes were dry, they just care about their budgets. Next month will be a lot more relaxed I can tell you. That way they will see that it can't all be done by 1 person. I managed to leave on time and got home and suggested to Clint that we go up to the local sports club for a drink because it was our 5 1/2 year anniversary. That wasnt really the reason but it got a laugh out of him. So basically that means our wedding is in exactly 18 months. That doesnt worry me because it is a long time, and I think we are doing really well so far, we have got our reception booked, our photgrapher will be booked in about 2 weeks and I have ordered my flowers. So now it's all the little things that pull it all together to get sorted. So we got to the club and bought some drinks. I decided to throw $20 in the pokes and Clint was convinced that nothing would happen on my machine because it looked like somebody had just had a big payout from it. Wrong. I got the special feature on my 3rd spin and won $40...so I took the money and ran. It was nothing, but i doubled my money and thats when I stopped. I was so excited given the fact that I never win anything. We went home and watched some TV and I called Laura, my friend from Darwin who is in Melbourne until October while her fiance is out bush. I'm going down there on Tuesday to spend a couple of days with her and her 2 little ones. Ella is 18 months and I havent seen her since she was a newborn, and Jacob I am yet to meet. Cant wait. Especially since I get 3 days off work and i got the flights for $29 each!
