Howdy folks. Joel here and yeah I won't be around until this coming Friday afternoon but then I'll be gone for about 3 weeks. First off, i'll be at the NSU Honors Wind Ensemble Camp and I know i'm going to have a lotta fun. This will be my third year to participate in this camp. I'll be playing with all these all-state musicians from Louisiana and Texas and possible from other states. Just think of it as a mini-all-state band. I hope to attain a good chair for trumpet. Plus it will give me more time to get adjusted to the dorms and getting my way around the campus. So it will be a lot of fun but hard work. We also have to perform a concert friday and do chamber groups. I also plan to be a part of the Jazz Band as well and I hope to meet new friends there as well!

Again, the whole family including me will be gone for 3 weeks till the end of June. We will be traveling to the Philippines to visit friends and family. Yes it's definitly going to be different. Maybe a culture shock. I haven't been since 1997 so it's been a good 7 years since then. Man i can still remember a lot of stuff from the last trip and I know this will be a memorable experience nevertheless. Of course there is that 16-18 hour flight from LA to Tapei, Taiwan then to Manila, Philippines. Fun fun fun stuff.

As for today, i went packing all i need for the camp plus some extras. I didn't do much besides that. I really want a lap top for college just to have one. That would be neat to have. Man college still is on my mind. I just remembered an interesting fact about NSU the ratio of women to men is 3:1. Wow...i thought that was something but i'm not really caring that much about it. I mean 3 girls for me! WOOHOO!!! YEAH!!! That's a perk to going to NSU i suppose. But none of "that" will happen, or at least i think it won't happen but anyway that's getting away from the point. I'm there to get an education and learn the skills to land a job after college. Gotta make the $$$. I got a letter today saying that the president of NSU has approved my out-of-state tuition. I'm wonderin if thats the $25,000 they gave me or in full the out-of-state tuition. In any case that's great! Everythings great and i have to keep a 2.25 GPA which is a piece of cake. I got more digital pictures developed and they look kick-a! They are from graduation, and other assorted things including the pictures of those two girls below. They do look nice dont they?
