Wow, pretty good weekend, although I did not get my new horse trailer....guy sends email Friday night saying he needs it to go to a rodeo over the weekend. hmmmm, i didn't like that idea at all....but, it's not my trailer *yet*, so I can't really say much. But, he did offer to meet me half-way next Saturday -- which isn't so bad 'cause it's like a 4-hour drive. So, getting trailer next weekend.

Yesterday, we did all kinds of stuff outside. It was beautiful weather....we rode the 4-wheelers, did some training with the horses, Ra rode Ruffey (which being a former race horse, he needs a lot of work on WHOA...LOL). Anyway, it was a great day.

Today, we went canoeing. We went down the Shenandoah River and it was another gorgeous day! We did 7 miles in 2 1/2 hours! Pretty damn good, if I say so myself. We hit the water at 12:20, the guy from the canoe co. said we should be at the end of the run about 4:30 and he'd meet us then. We paddled in at 3:00, so we called for a pick up. While we waited, this guy pulls up the river and asks what the water level is and how the river is moving. Then he says he has a bear that he found hit on the road, which he picked up and took home....then skinned (yuck!) and now needs to dump it. Says he called the game warden who told him to dump it in river. Bullshit!! A game warden would *never* say that....especially since black bears are on the endangered list! So anyway, he backs up to the river and the stench was disgusting! We started gagging and finally the guy left...with the bear still in his truck. As soon as he left, the canoe guy showed up and we told him what happened with the bear. He calls base and base calls the police. Within a matter of minutes, the cops show up and arrest the guy. DAMN!

Anyway, we're home and relaxing from a good weekend.
