Well, this is going to be a start since I can actually write now. A start for a possible short story if I even finish this that is.
Thick pastel mercyless blue eyes glanced around, taking in what there was to see. The white walls drifting past with each passing step, taking her further into the desolate hallways, muttering words being heard behind the closed doors. A slight shivere sent itself up her spine as she closed her eyes, trying to block out the hand that was upon her shoulder, guiding her on the "right" path. Her eyes glanced towards the floor, brown tendrils of hair falling over her eyes, keeping the horror and every other feeling from being seen.
Jane just smiled lightly, patting her daughter on the shoulder, giving her the encouragement she needed to keep walking. According to Jane, this was the best path for her daughter no matter what anyone thought. Moira shivered, looking up at her mother and trying to smile at her. Yes, things had happened in the past, things that were horrible and were never understandable. No one knew where those bloody marks came from that appeared on Moira's bedroom walls, no one knew where the small peices of flesh, still warm, had come from that laid upon the floor. Mysterious things had started happening more and more as Moira aged. The community had started getting scared and didn't want to allow the 9 year old to play with their children in fear of Moira turning them down the wrong path. But they didn't think it was right for Jane to be putting her into the mental institution even though Jane didn't know what else to do. A lot of the residents had even turned their back upon Jane, saying that a real mother wouldn't have even thought about it and would have done almost anything to help their child. No one saw it the way Jane did, no one saw the sights she had seen ever since her child had started being able to talk about what she had been seeing. Jane couldn't remember a time that she didn't walk into Moira's room and notice her talking to the shadows, playing with no one there. She talked to psychatrists about the problem, asking them if it was normal, some said it was for a child Moira's age, some said it wasn't. One Psychatrist said to wait it out and see if things still happened when Moira became older, Jane decided just to do that. Taking the time to wait it out, and see if Moira would change for the better. In the end, it hadn't. That was why Jane had brought Moira here, to do testing and see what was the matter because she was at her wits end. The first time she had walked into Moira's room and noticed the bloody hand prints and bits of flesh clinging to Moira's dolls it scared her. She didn't know if someone had come in and did that just to mess with her, or if the things her daughte rhad been talking about all these years had been true.
Jane smiled down at her daughter as those thoughts passed through her head, the single doll staring up at her, eyes bleeding blood out of its sockets. Chills coursed through Janes body, the smile faltering for a brief second only to allow it to re-appear in full force. Moira smiled up at her mother, still slightly scared at not knowing why she was being brought here, but knowing that her mother wouldn't allow anything or anyone to harm her in the end. Looking up at the approaching Doctor, Jane stopped, her hand still resting on her daughters shoulder, a slight pressure being put upon her as the doctor stuck his hand out in greeting. Janes' free hand shook the doctors, her smile now turned upon him instead. " Hello I am Doctor Logan, and you must be Jane Marshall and Moira. Hello there Moira.." He said, bending down to look at her in the face. Moira's eyes glistened as she smiled back at the Doctor, not saying anything to him. According to the doctor the first impression was always the best to get a child to like you, that was one of the main reason's why he was being nice now. He had heard everything about the child before him and his curiosity had been sparked, and that was the only reason why he was taking this case himself. Logan smiled once more at her, patting Moira on the shoulder and standing up to look back at Jane." Now, you explained certain things to me over the phone, shall we take Moira to her room and then we can discuss anything else that you feel comfortable talking about?" Logan hoped his eagerness wasn't showing on his face, as far as he knew no one else knew which Institution she had been taken to besides her mother, which was a good thing for what was to come.
Logan motioned for Jane and Moira to follow him as the hallway seemed to errupt to life around the three. " If there is anything you would like to ask that we didn't cover on the phone pleaase feel free to ask away. We have nothing to hide here at Madison Institution."
" Well, I do not think that right now is the perfect time to be talking about this to tell you the truth, it just isn't..right to be talking about these sort of things infront of my daughter." Jane looked sheepishly at Logan, almost as if she was afraid her daughter would know what was going on. Logan nodded slightly in understandment as he turned down the hallway and pushed open a door revealing a beige colored room with zoo animals oon the wall paper. In a corner of the room was a single size bed, flower imprinted quilt ontop of the feather matress. In the opposite corner stood a jumble of dolls with a single Human sized Teddy bear in the midst of the curls and makeup. Moira's eyes widened when she walked into the door her mouth slightly ajar at the room. She stopped infront of the door, turning to look back at Logan with sheer amazement. Jane smiled slightly, looking at her daughter and then back at the doctor before her mask shattered. A single tear started to roll down her cheek, her hand coming up to wipe it away before her daughter could notice it, but not before Logan saw it. Logan held ahold of the door as he turned to look at Moira," This is going to be your room for a while, you are going to be staying with us and you can play with anything in here and if you want anything else all you have to do is ask." smiling as he saw her eyes widen even more." I am going to take your mommy and go have some adult time, go and introduce yourself to your new friends in the corner there." His hand motioning towards the stuffed animal and dolls as he pulled the door closed behind him, not taking the time to see her reaction.
Moira turned to look around, her eyes turning to look at the teddy bear wondering what she was supposed to do with that. Ignoring it, eyes sliding down towards the mass amount of dolls that poured from the corner. A single doll in the very front caught her eye.It had lone curly black hair and its face had been the makeup painted up on it. This doll seemed to be different from the rest, considering the rest were plush and this one was porcelin. The blue eyes of the doll seemed to shift for a brief second, turning to a bright red only to turn back to the placid blue. Moira just tilted her head, smiling almost as if she had been waiting for the doll to do something along those lines. The dolls eyes had been staring straight foreward, but slowly upturned to look at Moira.
