so i'm home.... and my little angel boy is sound asleep, with his front paw resting on my foot.... and he looks even more beautiful then he has looked to me in a very long time... he was so excited when he saw me... so hot from the quick change in temps here, he drank the ice water i prepared and promptly threw up... luckily we were in the backyard, and the clean up was quick with a poop bag and the hose... i won't move for a while now... because he is calm, and in his way he is holding my hand, the best way he knows how....
my girl is asleep as well... somehow relieved that she indeed got her old life back... but she will punish me for some time to come... she kissed me quickly and was soon staying away, but within eyeshot.... and i love the spunk that makes her her, makes her let me know that she was none to pleased to be shipped off.... but i know that if it's not tomorrow, it will be the next day.... and we will be back on track...
the trip was a whirlwind of beauty and activities and getting a glimpse into my boys new life... a new set of friends, all the places he goes.... where he walks, eats.... friday we floated in megans bay... drank bushwackers.... and for a few hours lived a different kind of life.... as the afternoon went by, the boys friends and co workers began to show up, kinda like neighbors do here.... some brought their kids who played small video games.... one had a metal detector and scanned the sand for treasure.... we threw water baloons.... laid on loungers... it was near perfect....
yesterday the boy charter a boat and around 10 of us traveled from island to island, stopping every couple hours to swim in the blue water, so clear you could see all the way to the bottom.... we stopped in tortola, and yost van dyke for lunch and drinks... we toasted at the soggy dollar.... and danced at one love to an old man who sang like a pro....
i traveled most of today, and i'm still a confirmed homebody.... but every once in a while... it's good to see how other people live....
