Railway bridge outside of Chicago. 2012.
I need to go through my closet one more time to throw out things I haven’t used in a year. Why? When the “Quieter-home-program” folks take over, I have to move out of my closet. Into the Geezer’s closet. He’s been seriously resistant to my gentle suggestions that he clean out his closet. This morning I said that I’d clean it out. We are getting notification the middle of next month of the date et al.
One of these days I might suggest he clean out his tool hoardings. Did I say that?

In the midst of selfish closet bickerings, we have a family sadness. Lenore’s dog Romeo died. Romeo was Lenore and Mohave’s companion for a great many years. He was a happy soul, and he will be much missed.
----------@----------
Off to find the scooter office. The owner hasn’t answered our calls or emails. We need a scooter for the Spring Roundup and one for Comic Con. G is getting frustrated, and that’s not a good thing at all.
----------@----------
Monday is the first doctor’s appointment about the hip. Yes, right now I’m stuck looking at the process not the end of it all.
----------@----------
PS: Edit: So we went by the guys house and he moved. Grrrr...then we made one last call, and he answered. A scooter is rented for both conventions. :) Progress. Hurrah.
- Keeping those on the east coast in my thoughts.
- Himself: Himself is doing good today.
- Herself: I suppose he’d divorce me if I cleaned out his closet.
- Reading: The third in the E. Moon Suisa series. I love good space opera…as I said before.
- Balance: Sitting on the edge of the bed in the sunshine letting it warm me.
Thar Be Treasure buried in the closet! ARrrrrrrr.......
Muchas Smuchas

The Scooter Store probably hasn’t returned your call because a couple of days ago -
"On Wednesday, 150 federal and state agents raided The SCOOTER Store headquarters in New Braunfels, Texas, and agents remain on the site. CBS News just spoke to an FBI agent Thursday morning who said workers will not be allowed back into headquarters through the day as the nation's largest power wheelchair company remains under investigation."

Yes, beware of scooter places. We had many dealings with several of those places when my husband was recovering from spinal surgery. For some reason, they're almost all uniformly shady rip-off outfits. [Kimber]

I followed your lead-I cleaned out part of my closet. I felt like I accomplished something for myself! I did take a break in my shade garden, listening to the birds.
Hugs to you, you kind woman. [zipster]

The closet in my junk room has been on my mind the last few days. It reeks of Fibber McGee and is 99% my mother's things. I need to put one foot in front of the other and purge, purge, purge! [Tornado]

I hesitate to suggest this to someone who might be a borderline hoarder, but...I don't have a closet. What I have is a pipe in the garage from which we hang clothes. The clothes I want to save but don't use..they are either in space bags or hanging from hangars with as many of them as I can get sealed into trash bags...
My 'closet' is 2 hanging closets, zippered and see through which hang from the pipe in the garage and have a 'bar' inside to hang hangars on. It is long, I store shoes, boots, and shoeboxes in the bottoms.
The bags 'breathe' but keep the clothes clean and dust free, which is amazing because of all the sawing Hub does to cut up pallets for heat plus the dogs being down there so much of the time! plus, this is a dusty town!
The hanging closets were fairly economical, I don't think I paid more than $20 apiece for them and I intend to purchase a couple more when I can... [seedys]

We share a closet and only one of us can get in it at a time--it's long and narrow with double rods one one wall and linen shelves on the opposite wall. Snug doesn't begin to cover it! That said, I have clothes hanging on my top rod that I haven't worn in a year and can't seem to let go of them... possibly because if I did I'd feel like I had to go buy some more clothes and I hate shopping for clothes! After all the down-sizing I did last summer/fall, I'm finding it easier to look at things I don't really need and designating them to give up their space. [aunty EM (2)]

Scooter: I'd rather have a Harley Davidson. :-)
I'm a minimalist. I like it that way. Big, open spaces in my house.
ryn: I think that Cutlass would look much more at home in your driveway! [.Gattaca.]

Today I moved a pile of Tom's books onto a shelf. He was furious at me for not asking first. They have been on the floor (along with numerous other piles) for several months. I feel completely in the right but hated that we yelled and he got so upset. I apologized but didn't offer to remove the books from the shelf. Marriages are all the same, aren't they. / Glad you got your Scooter. Little things can bring such annoyance! [TickTockTickTock]
