Ahhh, August is finally here… Konnie got me and I did changeover for her and Leslie… Our “RN Unit Manager” was not able to do it this month as she was too far behind on her regular work so Konnie and Leslie were going to do it and I do have a hard time saying no to Konnie… she’s way overworked anyway… But now I can relax and get back to my latch hook and my CSI…. I did finally get in the pool… it was great and I plan to get in again when I finish here…. The festival at work is at the end of Sept. this year. The past three years I have always been a big support for this festival as it is to earn money for the activities dept. When the whole job thing came down I was very adamant that ALL support for the facility was finished… so they are having some trouble rounding up the money for the decorations and game prizes (what I always purchased for them to the tune of about five hundred dollars) The theme this year is Pirates…. Annie and Jay have always been the ones to dress up and do the give away thing… (pencils bubblegum coins) I asked Annie if she and Jay still wanted to do that and she said ok… so I will get them some pencils and some bubble gum coins…. And make Jay a pirate outfit…. I haven’t yet decided if I’ll donate anything else…. Everyone is afraid to come right out and ask me… they keep talking about it within my earshot but no one says anything directly to me…. (I can hear those chickens clucking away…) My son that lives in DC is coming on the 12th for a few days and I’ll get to see my grandson so I am excited… sort of getting things ready here for that… OK, time to go dunking…..
