Hey Lovelies!

I know I said I was going to move to monthly weight loss reports, but since I'm in this experimental Paleo diet thang (sounds so official), I figured I'd keep you guys posted during the 4 weeks. Everything is still going well. My pain level has decreased by 75% and my energy is through the roof. I no longer feel bloated after meals (gluten was apparently trying to kill me...the bastard) and Buddha Belly is laying flatter. I am so thankful that I'm responding well to this way of eating. I haven't felt this healthy EVER.

Weigh-in this week showed a 3 lb loss. Can you believe it? I actually maintained the 12 lbs from last week and added more to it. The WW receptionist asked what I'd changed to drop 15 lbs in 2 weeks. I told her I was focusing on whole foods and left it at that. I don't need the WW police swooping in on me if I mention another diet. LOL She probably thinks I had secret weight loss surgery. I can sense my days as a WW member are probably limited...and that scares the hell out of me! The program has been a part of my life for so long...and it works. I lost 210 lbs on it in 5 years...and the rebound gain I experienced wasn't because the program failed...I am the one that fell off.

I have a huge support system and plenty of hardcore folks to kick my ass if I get out of line. I'll make a decision soon...will keep you posted!

I'm going through the same diet-y goodness! I love it! So far I'm down 20 lbs. in about two months. Any favorite meals you've concocted yet? [AppleGirl] 5/23/2012 3:38:54 PM
So glad you are feeling so good! That's amazing loss, yay! [SparksWillFly] 5/23/2012 4:29:01 PM
Glad you're feeling better. I've been low(er) carbing and it is amazing what a difference it makes. [Freyjah] 5/23/2012 4:38:07 PM
I have sooo been waiting for an update! I really wish in my head that you would start posting your meals like you used to. *Selfish...I know* I will check out the links that you listed. I talked my mom into trying this for a week. We are starting on Sunday, so I will let you know how it goes for her. Praying that it helps even a little. Thanks for always sharing. So glad things are going well 4 u! [Destiny Driven] 5/23/2012 7:38:28 PM
I have made braised cabbage - soooo good, and I'm not a huge cabbage fan. I heart the mashed cauliflower...almost as good as mashed potatoes. I have been on a huge brussels sprout kick too, cooked in bacon grease. I've also been loving roasting a nice big free range chicken, eating it that day, making chicken salad lettuce wraps the next, and then using the rest for chicken chili- [AppleGirl] 5/23/2012 9:37:38 PM
Minus the beans....
Oh! Another new guilty pleasure is a 1/4 cup of macademias with 2 sections of Trader Joes dark chocolate truffle bar. Num.
Oh! And I tried lamb chops for the first time too...they were delish! [AppleGirl]

Hey! Im so excited for you! Another three pounds! Yippe! I myself have given up on trying to lose weight for the moment but I will live vicariously through you! Get er done!  5/24/2012 11:04:04 AM
RYN: thanks! It is nice to see some change on this front after years of struggle. I've also noticed that my seasonal allergies, which had started to bother me year-round, are almost gone. I'm not sure I'm ready to go completely paleo but I certainly have a lot less interest in the "bad stuff" these days. [Freyjah] 5/24/2012 4:30:53 PM
It's amazing the difference nutrition makes. Good to hear you're feeling better. [fatnomo] 5/27/2012 10:23:59 PM
oh my God that is amazing Coco!!! so excited that you are feeling better and the weight is coming off. woohooo for paleo. keep it up love [Atrevida] 5/30/2012 5:42:57 PM
I've been thinking about the Paleo diet for a long time now...and I think I am going to start eating in that manner. I have found that dairy just doesn't agree with me anymore which is soo sad because I am a cheese-whore. hehehehe and I can't do grains or carbs. But I think what saddens me most about the Paleo is NO beans! How do I not do beans? :(
Thank you so much for all your input on this! [gemidevi]
