Cave Girl Report and other fun stuff :) Thursday, May 31, 2012

Hey Lovelies!

I don't believe I mentioned it, but I joined Chesty's family in a camping excursion over Memorial Day. We stayed in Broken Bow, OK in a fabulous cabin (so it was more "glamping" than camping lol). The place was a short distance from Beavers Bend State Park and we managed to get in 2 great hikes and an open water swim. I slept until 8am every morning...which is truly a luxury for me! I feel rested and healthy. The Wonder Twins had a blast as well. Go karts, mini golf, fishin' with their Spiderman poles and they roasted their first marshmallows for s'mores.  Great vacay all around...oh and I won $300 at Choctaw Casino! Woohoo!

I managed to stay on my Paleo plan the entire time...despite kiddie snacks in the cabin. Those damn Lil Debbie Zebra Cakes go HARD in the paint! LOL But I am above them now. We didn't get back to Texas until late yesterday afternoon, so I went to weigh today...down another 3 lbs! Woot! That makes 18 lbs in the last 3 weeks. I am sooooooo happy! Next week will be the end of my Paleo/Whole 30 Experiment and I can't wait to share the final report with you guys and how I plan to continue this lifestyle.

In random news, I have fallen into the 50 Shades trap and can't stop reading these smutty books! I finished 50 Shades of Grey on the trip and added 50 Shades Darker to my Fire as soon as I got home. Damn shame!

Well, that's it for now...have two days of vacation left and I plan to enjoy it. Hope you're all having a wonderful week!

So much fun! I have a total obsession with Zebra Cakes...if I see them in the store I caress the box. But yeah, transfats no bueno, and can they really even be classified as food. Okay, I want zebra cakes now...let's end this note ;) [Satine] 5/31/2012 12:29:47 PM
Sounds awesome... and inspirational, as I've recently gone paleo-ish (inspired by your success!) and have worried about travel.

Enjoy the rest of your vacation! [jennekirby]

Please quit with the Paleo. I've been researching and looking around and if you don't stop it, I'm gonna have to try it! 18lbs in three weeks is great! Even when/if it slows, that is still a great jump start. Plus, you have the nerve to be feeling better?!?!? girl... go!!!! [Jadalove] 5/31/2012 3:44:56 PM
Excellent! I've been reading Primal Blueprint and am thinking of ways to incorporate more of the elements when I finish the strict phase of my current diet.

Glad you had a good time glamping. That is my kind of camping, too. [Freyjah]

Wow! 18 lbs. in 3 weeks is A-W-E-S-O-M-E!!! Keep up the great work, girlie! ;-)
