A Do-Nothing Day Wednesday, June 27, 2012

From somewhere I seem to be getting a bit of energy back. On Monday, I basically moved all the furniture around to make it a lot easier to clean floors. I was also taken out to lunch by Bill T., who is one of Fred's friends. Bill and Fred worked together at IBM and Fred went to live with Bill for a while after Fred began what he called "his new life" after his divorce. He is a nice guy and we spent most of the time over lunch talking about Fred which was very nice.

Yesterday I swept the floors with great care for my posture and my back only gave me little twinges which were quite manageable. I then wet-mopped the floors, all the floors except the kitchen which I had done the previous day. It took me most of the day to do this since I really didn't want to make my back hurt so I would do one room and then go and watch whatever part of the "Lord of the Rings" DVD  I was at for about 15 minutes and then on to the next room! Diane came to pick me up so we could go to eat around six. We went to a nice  local restaurant and had stuff with yellow curry {me} and stuff with no curry which was Diane's choice. Of course, this didn't really matter since we both ate some of each! I took the left-over curry home and Diane took the other one.

Today, and I make absolutely no excuses for it, I did absolutely nothing useful at all! I finished watching LOTR and appreciated it all over again. I then ate the left-over curry and you know what I am doing now! After this I may go get my hair cut and I may not! And I am appreciating this do-nothing day!

When walking, walk.

When eating, eat.

Do-nothing days are always quite relaxing, I think. [Starting Over] 6/27/2012 3:57:06 PM

Wow! After all the floor mopping, you deserve a do nothing day! :-) [confused_B] 6/27/2012 5:34:29 PM
It's so good to hear you are getting your energy back again..... but a "do nothing" day is well deserved for anyone! I started watching the LOTR series again not long ago. Have to admit I haven't made it very far but it's interesting that you did the same! [Elan] 6/27/2012 6:01:59 PM

do-nothing days are a must from time to time...I have had one today and all I have done is some knitting and internet stuff. Our body knows best.

I love do nothing days. Especially during the summer, just enjoying the dog days of summer is the best! Enjoy. [momof2boys2] 6/28/2012 1:22:43 PM
Nice! I remember those kind of days. They don't exist now, but it's ok. Have another one for me, will ya? Love ya! ~M [Mezzo] 6/28/2012 5:27:15 PM
