My mischievous mired mumblings 9/4/2009

Busy two weeks, nice to take a day off today. Back to being bored, but tough noogies. I deserve a break.

Sore today from the last 3 days of working out and doing various activities.

Said activities were meetings for my fraternity, mexican food, pizza, bowling and volunteering at the local food pantry for the underprivledged. Thats what my frat does. Service.

My frat isn't greek life (here anyway) so its a minor house. Coed too (yay!).

We glazed bowls, swept and mopped the floor, filled food baskets for the needy, threw away a bunch of cabbage (like 300+ things of it... all spoiled) and of course kirk the big guy gets to throw heavy things around (pallets and boxes). All this for about 2-3 hours at the food pantry.

Bowling was ok. First game was fer shit (was still quivery after working out) second game I got 135. My usuals between 120-160 give or take a few.

We had a better turnout this year, which is awesome. Hopefully well get some peeps that stick around. Were down to like 7 active members right now. Too many graduates.

Someone has that H1N1 thing or whatever its called (its not swine flu!) and lots of people in that circle of friends have gotten sick. SOMEHOW I haven't gotten it even though Ive been around them whilst sick.

Maybe im good this year after last years 4 bronchitis outbreaks. Blargh. Still annoys the fluck outta me.

Alright, back to laundry.

Later!

H1N1 is swine flu so it must be Influenza A or another strain. Sucks you guys are going into flu season now, but at least the vaccine should be available soon. So many Aussies caught swine flu this season because no one had immunity to it but there was only about a 1 in 1,000 instance of bad complications from it. No worse than normal flu really. I was just ruthless in keeping away because preggos [^melting moments^] 9/5/2009 5:36:04 PM
... seemed to be at highest risk out of everyone of developing complications (respiratory and heart in particular).

So far so good! [^melting moments^]

yup H1N1 is the swine flu. My daughter had it and was sick for about 6 days.

I finally decided to get the reg flu shot this season since I'm around kids now more than I have been in the last few yrs. Small kids carry big germs. [Zeeva]
