What I'm Currently Reading
Fifty Shades Freed
E L James

Book Count 2012: 47

Title:  Fifty Shades Darker
Author:  E.L. James
Pages:  395
Genre:  Chick Lit, Fiction, Erotica

The author's writing has not improved with this second book in the trilogy, but I will say this, the story just keeps getting better.  The erotica is well-placed and not over the top, and within this book we see Christian changing from thinking he's a sadist, to learning how to be a "vanilla" lover.  There are some changes in Ana as well, as she comes to terms with Christian's previous relationships as a Dominant, and how she can still offer to him some of what she thinks he needs... her submission.  She knows she cannot submit in the way he wanted her in the beginning, but she finds little ways to submit to him that both of them can live with.

I gave this book another 4 star rating, simply because I liked the whole story, but the author's writing is still a point of contention.
