Find a Diary

Lincoln Thursday, February 16, 2012

The entry I wrote yesterday disappeared when I went to save it.  I may re-visit it, but not now.

In other news, our refrigerator stopped working so we went out last night and bought a new one.  Other than for the stainless steel front, it is essentially the same model, newer, but that is it.  We choose not to go with most of the new technology (all the bells and whistles.)  It is again a side by side with the ice and water in the door, but that is it.  It will be delivered and installed this afternoon between two and four, so that will work out fine.

Later tonight, I will drive down to Lincoln and attend another of those lectures on water that I have been enjoying.  Afterwards, I will meet Lauren and Michael for dinner and that is always fun.  Lauren works tonight, so dinner will be late, maybe as late as ten, but it doesn't matter, I can sleep in tomorrow and skip the gym.  With my cold, I have skipped it all week already, so one more day cannot matter much.

Did you have to put everything in coolers and throw snow on it? Or did you just put it on in the garage? lol Glad you got a different one. I really should be trying to find a used one but really should try to move instead! [*Sugar-Free*] 2/16/2012 11:43:18 AM
oh darn, feel better. Enjoy the ride and dinner and lecture. [*Sugar-Free*] 2/16/2012 11:43:58 AM
Wondered how old your last one was? They sure don't seem to build them to last any more like they used to.... [commonsensechristian] 2/16/2012 12:32:03 PM
I'm in the habit of copying my whole entry and clicking the "save" button on the editor before I submit.

I feel like refrigerators don't need much new technology? [lifeonacitybusem4]

That must be elite class time to eat dinner! [GemInI Eyes] 2/16/2012 3:01:08 PM
I have dinner envy. ;)I miss those days of driving to Chapel Hill and having dinner with Z. We left our refrig in the house when we left -- I personally didn't care for the stainless. Seems like I spent an inordinate amount of time cleaning it but then again it was our family and the moochers there - lots of fingerprint possibilities. [+Ditto] 2/16/2012 8:42:19 PM
I do hope you are feeling better by now. I never know if I should work out or not when I am not feeling up to par. You would think at this advanced age I'd have that figured out by now.

Being a person who on occasion meditates I find my refrigerator is remarkably noisy. Perhaps the newer models are quieter? That would be nice.
