ragdoll [once again] 11/19/2003

once again
she sits in silence
the damaged dirty princess
timid little ragdoll
begging to be
thrown, cracked and bruised
waiting to be walked all over

once again
toyed and played with
beat up, slapped, broken down
just a little bit more
so  n u m b  and apathetic
that pain is pleasure

once again
the stupid girl
who'd give up anything
to hear him say he'll stay
throws away her self-worth
without a second thought
just to feel something
only slightly resembling love

once again
a distorted view
an imperfect  r e f l e c t i on
the mirror mocks
a nearly flawless face
she's such a beauty
but horribly disfigured underneath

once again
she's so angry
[almost to the point of self-destruction]
her scars are  i n v i s a b l e
but disgustingly deep
she wants to show the world
how repulsive she can be

but once again
she wipes away the telling tears
and paints on the pretty mask
carefully restores the facade
of bright brilliant eyes
and pink polished lips
[she  *s p a r k l e s*  for the world to see]
a dazzling counterfeit queen.

Hmm. I can see why you liked Abominable so much. Even if this poem isn't about you, you still see where I'm comin' from.

Right on, sista.

Thanks for dropping by. I'll add you to My Faves list. ~SMOOCH~ [ZoĆ« Strange]
