Last week I noticed a blotch of skin on my calf that was scaly and itchy. I was kind of freaked out by it, I didn't know where it came from. Then, I realized that I actually have little patches of the same all over my body. Again, kind of freaked out. And, right or wrong, I don't have TIME or ENERGY to be freaked out. So I just ignored it. But I would say I have about 30 of these blotches, at least, now - and then I had an "aha" moment. psoriasis (which does run in my family) ... and... my joints have been driving me bonkers the last three or four weeks. They weren't bugging me so much over the winter, but they were bothering me a few months ago. It always feels like my joints are slipping out of place or I get pain from things like my shoulder blade, hip, knee. My knee suddenly flared up three days ago. I was limping until yesterday night, it is almost better today. Psoriasis + arthritis = psoriatic arthritis. I am not a doctor. But I don't have a doctor I really trust. I like my family physician, but I don't know him that well. I guess I should make an appointment. K
