Things left behind 2/3/2004

I am just an ant,

bustling about, underneath

miniscule, but I use my tools

in hopes that you will notice me.

I work all day, all night for you

digging till I reach the core

down and down deep in you I go

so i can stop wondering

what it is that life is for.

The world is an ocean

with many creatures, plants and things,

there's not to fear when things aren't clear,

as long as you swim with me.

Sometime there will come a storm that you can't tame

but no matter how far you drift

I won't be that far away.

If you need help to swim

or maybe just to stay afloat

there will always be room for you

among the things that I know.

I am just a little boy,

swimming in a sea of you.

Do you remember when I wrote that

do you remember when it was true?
