I don't realize
How cold I am Until I feel Your warm breath on my cheek. But you don't shudder Or stop your tender carress When you find I am cold; Cold to the depths Of my shattered hard heart. Tears drip down my cheek And spill onto your hand. My tears reveal the melting Of this heart. Your eyes soft, Understanding Never leave mine; Stained with tears. My soul is open To your taking As you peer through The windows of my heart. For what do you search? And why can't I know All that you know about me? You smile and wipe a tear away. Your smile floods joy Into my soul. Your smile shines a light Unexplainable to any. A white golden light Spreads through forbidden depth No creviss or crack Left untouched. I melt into your arms Now my own warmth Penetrating this world Not possible without you. For without you My very breath Is sucked from this Frail life and lung. Without you my life Simply is not. Without you what point Could there be? My sunshine, My breath, The very warmth of my being Hold me close Don't ever let go. Then maybe, just maybe I'd survive in this world With your soft hands Peicing together My heart. And when they're done You'll take my hand And lead me through Meadows ever green. My sunshine My breath The love of my life My light My Savior My Lord.
