Delta or KLM? Friday, April 22, 2011

I have been very absent from here.... busy busy.

BUT I am in the midst of my last essay stress EVER. Well, of this degree anyway.... until my postgrad....
After this I have 2 exams and then I have a degree.... yay :)

I'm getting pretty sad about graduating though, i'm going to miss it.... St Andrews, everyone in it, just the atmosphere in general....
I have my grad ball ticket, so I'm now in search of a dress. I found the perfect one but it's sold out in my size and also it's £200 so a bit of a no-go there unfortunately....
I still have to pay my graduation fee (£50) and hire my gown (£40) but I literally have NO money whatsoever right now. Nothing.
Until I get paid next week anyway.
But apart from that, I'm sorted mostly for graduation.... I've booked somewhere for lunch, The Glasshouse, which is a nice place, but not tooooo mega expensive. I'm looking forward to it all but at the same time it makes me really sad!

Things are also starting to come together for NY.... my dad gave me money for a flight so I'm about to book.
Anyone know which is better: KLM or Delta, or much the same?

My life is revolving around Lord of the Rings right now. Which is not really a bad thing.... I kinda love my degree sometimes. I feel like a nerd.

I was exactly the same around the time of my graduation- it drains all of your money!

I can't believe it's been a year since it was happening to me! Now I'm just facing the prospect of having no job after the summer :(

Is the KLM via Schiphol? If so I would go with the direct flight, ie Delta. If not, go with KML. Most US airlines are pretty rubbish (international anyway). [Shonky] 4/22/2011 4:57:33 PM
I could be completely wrong, but from what I can see the KLM direct flights are code-share flight operated by Delta anyway.  [Shonky] 4/23/2011 3:12:18 AM
I can't believe how expensive graduation is! Nightmare!
It's so scary and exciting to be coming to the end of uni.
Also, the Glasshouse! My favourite restaurant ever is the Riverhouse in Stirling and I've always wanted to go to the Glasshouse/Doll's house as I always see them advertised at Riverhouse. I should really get round to booking somewhere for graduation lunch xx [Sarah Akka]

KLM i would have to say it better.
The service is was. I work in a travel store so I hear all the stories. I have traveled with KLM and I rather liked it. They also have a better track record then any other company out there. [Better.x.Days]

{i know this is an old entry but i must say. . .} i don`t think i have ever travelled with Delta BUT from my experience, KLM is amazing! i have travelled with KLM many times and it has always been great -- i`ve never had problem with KLM {nor have i with Cathay Pacific, Air Canada or Turkish Airways. i`ve been on 16+ flights with KLM in both business + economy class {business was the best, of course!}, it has always been great, +, lol, schiphol is awesome, too! plus, if you travel often, KLM offers Flying Blue memberships, which also work with other airline companies. . .not with Delta Airlines, though. o_O [esméelefay] 10/28/2011 11:42:43 PM
