(23) What Happens When You Take A 4 yr old and dog Wednesday, March 14, 2012

For a walk? You get a power struggle. I decided to take CJ and Rocki for a walk today to see how I could handle both of them. It went pretty decent expect I demanded and yes I wrote demaned that CJ stay on the side of me that doesn't face the road. I would rather get hit than him. We walk on a dirt road that of course people live on so there will be cars that drive on it. So CJ would drift to the other side of me which is on the road so I would tell him once to get on the other side and if he didn't I would grab him by anything that was in reachable and pull him to the other side. I know some people probably thought I was being a bitchy mom. But you know what I am not having my kid ran over by teenagers that don't know how to drive. Yes around here they drive like idoits. Wasn't changing the law back 13 years ago suppose to make for safer drivers? Well I don't think its working. But the older people around here will slow down if they see someone walking.

Today I even ran into the lady that saw Rocki when she was only a couple weeks old. She was shocked how big she got and what a beautiful color she is. Rocki is a bridle boxer. No we did not snip her ears, but her tail was done. Anyways as always Rocki was sniffing everything in sigh and making sure she kept up with CJ. CJ found some puddles on the walk and since he had his boots on he went and had a hay day jumping in them. Which is always fun to watch. He wanted Rocki to join him but I wasn't in the mood to fight with a dog in a bath to get washed. So I said no. Daisy will be a easy wash because she'll be so small.

So next time CJ and I will be taking walks without Rocki right now till he will listen to me and stay on the side that I demand that he walks on. Once that gets handled than Rocki will be able to join us. The other idea is taking the wagon with is and than CJ can sit in the wagon and Rocki can help pull it. It'll give Rocki something to do on the walks. I'll be pulling the wagons too.

Well I got my new contacts in and so far no burning no irritation. Just the uncomfortable feeling of knowing something is on my eyes. And I did irriate one eye so its not too please. But for some reason it seems like the edge of the lense gets in my sight sometimes. And it takes them a bit to get readjusted in my eyes too, which is weird.

OMG this weather is amazing. I'm outside typing right now while CJ is grabbing toys to play with. We'll probably go in to eat chicken with carrots and peppers sliced up. The potatos aren't tasting so hot lately so they probably gone bad. So we'll see how that tastes for dinner. I might make rice to go with it, so we'll.

Sometime in April the planting of the garden will start. I don't know if we'll roto till it or if we'll have to since we already did it before the first frost. I'm not allowed to touch anything in the garden till its picking time because I have a black thumb of death when it comes to plants.Chris says he's going to make a Keep out sign just for me. LOL.

CJ has been testing me today but I think with the good weather and being outside which is a HUGE change for me because I'm not usally a outside person, I don't like people seeing me and I don't really like talking to people I don't know. I'm an introvert, actually I have become one since having CJ. I have always found it hard to meet new people and I don't at all like change. But something about this year is good and I want to be outside. I think antoher thing is my sixth sense hasn't been in over drive.

We're also possibly looking a HUGE and I mean HUGE change. Chris is trying to make sure it doesn't happen but it could and I'm not sure how I would handle it since I don't really care for that state. Chris could end up heading to Ohio for a month or it could possibly turn into a whole family move for the rest of his career there.

He's also trying to get back on first since CJ will be going into kindgarden next year. He wants to be able to make it to Cj's first things in school or possibly even go on field trips. But we'll see. Our school district has changed a lot since I was a kid. Now parents have to be finger printed (you have to pay for it) and back ground checked to help in the classroom or to help on field trips. Which I understand but its almost 100 for those things. So I'm not sure how that will work out with me helping.

I have an idea for some other dresses for Daisy. I also found some fleece which I'm going to turn into a jacket for Rocki this coming winter. I also found a pattern for a full jacket but I think with Rocki that would be too much. So a simple jacket for Rocki will be fine.

Just called the lady Daisy is coming home tomorrow!!!
