Last night, Nov 19th my mom was crossing the street to attend the viewing of a very close friend who died from cancer.  Her and her boyfriend were inches from stepping onto the curb and were both struck by a speeding car.   They both went thru the windshield.  My mom has 2 broken legs, a broken right arm and shoulder, internal bleeding and bleeding on the brain.  Her BF has a broken leg, and head trauma.  Both of them had their right leg repaired in surgery and put back together with rods and pins.  Her left leg still awaits surgery. 

I was able to see her today.  she is talking a little bit, but cannot open her eyes.  she hurts all over.  I have not seen him yet.  they are at 2 different hospitals.  She needed more doctors to save her in a more specialized trauma hospital.

I already lost one parent to tragedy.  I can;t loose another.

I am still very sore from my surgery last week.  i should not be driving, but my health is not as importnant as my mothers right now.  I am staying at her house and trying to get her things in order.  Her dog is at my  house.  I do not anticipate them coming home for at least a few months.
