I'm down to my last dollars. Easter was generous to me, thankfully. I received $30, some leftovers, a D&D book, and a 12-pack of Pepsi. I spent it all on food for the last four weeks in the dorm. By the time I got to the store, I had $15 left. I had spent $7 on a book, $3 on laundry and a soda, and stashed $5 for future laundry runs. I was able to buy some ham and bacon to cook in my little oven, some soup and noodles. I bought meat sauce, in order to make makeshift sloppy joes, a can of pineapple tidbits, and a block of cheese. I've got plenty of spices left, so I can create some different meal ideas. My instructor's wife gave me a bunch of food last weekend. I still have the three bottles of water she gave and the crackers. My situation is progressively getting worse.
Last week, I wasn't able to wash clothes at all, so I had to wear the same clothes over and over. Not that I have much choice anyways, considering the weather's been crappy, and I only have 3 long-sleeve shirts and 3 thermal undershirts. I've been looking for a job for almost four months. There just isn't anything out here. I guess this truly is a college town. To make things worse, I still have yet to pay off the school for this semester. My two scholarships just aren't enough. They total $1100 annually right now. That may have been enough at my last school, but here, it doesn't help all that well. I need more money to pay off the school. I'm still $900 short, and I have to pay for summer classes. I want to graduate ASAP. I'm already behind with my minor. I'm hoping for a job to come up... I need to do my taxes this week too. I'll do that tomorrow. Sigh... Oh well. I'll drink the rest of my tea, and call it a night.
