I can't believe my luck lately. The other night I went out to buy Christmas lights for my tree and on my way back I hit the railroad tracks a little too hard. I woke up Tuesday morning, got Sarah ready for school, bundled up James, put them both in the car and made it around the corner before I realized my tire was flat. So at eight o'clock last night I stood outside in the cold holding a flashlight so my husband could put the spare on. Only to wake up this morning to find that my spare tire was going flat! Thank God for fix-a-flat. It looks like I'll be buying myself new tires for Christmas. Dear Santa..... I went to the dentist today because I had a toothache yesterday (I wonder if it's related to my flat tires?). It turns out that a tooth I had a root canal done on like 8 years ago is infected. So after having two cavities filled they're sending me to an endodontist to have the root canal redone. That should be fun. My small retail paycheck keeps getting smaller and smaller. I'm going to see Paulie Shore at a comedy club on Saturday night. I'm a little excited about that, except that I don't know if I can afford the two drink minimum. My friend Nicole bought all of us gift certificates for this place last Christmas and they expire on December 30, 2005 so we decided we better go. For some reason it took us all a whole year to get our butts in gear and coordinate this little outing. This morning Sarah asked me if she's rich because her piggy bank is half full. I told her to keep saving. Ahh, the grass is always greener....
