My bad luck that started with the flat tires continues. The other night when I was at work unloading a palette of winter beer, I picked up a box and the bottom fell out. I broke 5 out of ten bottles on my feet. I had to work for three hours in wet shoes that smelled like beer. I just happened to break them on the cord to the palette jack, which was plugged in to charge, so when I tried to pick up the cord I got a little zap. We're in the middle of changing managers at work so everything is mixed up right now. The schedules are messed up, the store is a mess, rules are being changed, and if you add the rush of the Christmas season, it's enough to make you crazy. I went to see Pauly Shore at the comedy club on Saturday. It was a lot of fun, except for almost missing the show. My friends and I drove in separate cars. My friends Rocky and Karl picked up my husband and I and we drove there from my house. Then my friends Nicole, Amy and Tiffany came in another car. Nicole reserved our tickets on her credit card so she had to be there for all of us to get our tickets. It turns out we got there right before they left. It takes them about an hour to get there. Not to mention we had a snow advisory going on and it had already snowed about two inches. They finally got there right at 9:30 when the show was supposed to start. We can thank Amy for that. I guess Amy's boyfriend had gotten into a fight with her and kicked her out the night before. She's staying with Nicole for a little while, but I guess she went to get some of her stuff and her boyfriend started fighting with her again. I'm not sympathetic because this is what all of her relationships are like. At least she just started a good job. She'll be ok. In the mean time, I started planning a New Year's Eve party. I titled it New Year, Old Friends. My objective here was to get all of my close friends together for New Year's since we can't all be together on other holidays. But apparently Nicole has decided she has better things to do. She responded to my evite with "I'm more interested in having a hotel party." I guess that's because sleeping with her boyfriend is more important than being with her friends. She's never interested in anything the rest of us are doing. When I went camping the weekend before my wedding, with just the girls (kind of a bachelorette camping trip), she decided she just had to go to the all night flea market and she couldn't go. When it actually came down to planning my wedding, she must of had better things to do then too, because me and Tiffany didn't see much of her. Tiffany and I threw a surprise party for her for her birthday and not only was she not surprised, she acted like she could care less. She also promised me she would come see me in the hospital when my son was born. Guess what? Everyone but her came to see me. It took her three days to even call me. Anyways, I wrote her a nasty email telling her what I think of her, so I'm guessing we probably won't be friends much longer. I told her that her boyfriend thinks she's bad in bed and that if she wasn't so full of herself she would have realized it by now. It's been an ongoing joke for some time now. I was really angry. I'm still waiting for her to respond to my email. Oh well, we'll have a good time with out her. I'm buying lots of food and champagne. I have other friends that actually care. Oh and about Pauly Shore, he was really funny, I loved the show, but he looked terrible. He's starting to look his age,(aren't we all?) I think he was sick, and it looks like he's gained some weight. All in all though, I had a good time and I'd probably do it again. That's all for now.
