So, here we begin second semester. I'm presently in my music history class (I know shame on me) Yay for multitasking and being able to take notes and type a blog at the same time, especially when we're listening to music and I have nothing else to do.
So where to begin, I'm taking 8 classes this semester which are the follow: -Orchestration -Music History from 1900 to Present Day -Music of the 20th and 21st Century -Percussion Lessons -Wind Ensemble -Percussion Ensemble -Theories of Personality -Junior Recital Yes I have to take my junior recital as a class, silly if you ask me and costs me money. Anyways, life's going good, I'm extremely poor after buying books for the semester and Christmas sort of ate out my money. Bad me for spending so much I know. This semester is going to be a constant fight to get myself in the practice room enough to prepare for my junior recital. I'm doing four pieces at the moment. Raga for Timpani, Trio per Uno a multi-percussion piece, Log Cabin Blues, a Xylo rag, and then Northern Lights, a really hard 16 minute long marimba piece, meanwhile keeping up with my other studies. I have my work cut out for me. I'm sort of thankful that I don't have a boyfriend at the moment, I don't think I'd have the time for one. I've met a guy named Markus right now, he'd a teacher at the Tech college here and moved here from Oklahoma. He's a really nice guy and we're attracted to each other and have said so. But only being out of a 7 year relationship for a few months it's going to take him a long time to be able to be in a relationship again. Which works fine for me too because we both agree we'd rather get to know each other as friends first and foremost and then see if a relationship is in the cards. Either way we've both agreed to at least hang out once a week no matter our schedules to keep building that friendship. Now I won't lie there's been a little messing around, no sex of course but one thing I wanted to know this time is if we'd be sexually compatible and mess around a little bit and I'll just say, if and when that point in time comes, well I'll probably be ranting about how great it was in here for weeks. Well, it's a small update but I better get back to class time.
