hmm Thursday, October 26, 2006

It's been over a week since Laura broke up with me.

I'm feeling calm again, now. Not emotionally volatile. I went to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers on... Monday, I believe. On, Sunday, in preparation for the concert, I went through Stadium Arcadium listening to what I haven't heard in a while. Then, "Made you feel better" started playing, and that just made me feel... better. I felt really good. And since, I've been feeling good. I don't presume that the song holds profound and overly-developed meaning for me; however, I believe it triggered something in me that let me be relax, feel better, be happy. It's a good feeling.

But, yes. Laura and I had a rocky week and a bit... what with being friends after a break-up (that I admittedly didn't take too well). We spoke on the phone for a good hour, and then online for another hour the other day, and that cleared quite a few things up and I think we are both free to be friends now. Before, it was just weird and strange with what wasn't being said to one another, I suppose.

I went for a drug test for Target the other day. I'll call Target in the morning to ask about my orientation. I'll be working full-time for $8/hr. It'll be a good job until I head off to college next year.
