[3:30pm]

Last Thursday my mum, Kasadee, and Kara came down to spend the night and we all went out to Montana's for supper [including Shawn]. Mum and the girls went to do some shopping afterwards; I couldn't go because I already had plans to meet up with some friends at a pub. 

I was the first one to arrive at the pub which was a little awkward, but luckily Brennan showed up just a few minutes after I did. It was just the two of us for at least half an hour, and then Becky and Lynnette showed up. Alana and Lachlan came about 45 mins later. There was supposed to be a lot more of our friends there, but it was nice to hang out with a small group - it made talking very easy. Around 10pm a band started playing; they were from Newfoundland and played very Irish/Celtic music which was nice, but the place wasn't super big and the loud music made it hard to talk. I had a fun time, though :) 

Friday I went home with mum and the girls, and then we along with dad and Kaleb went snowmobiling to our camp [you can't drive in there in the winter]. At first I went with my brother on his snowmobile but he drives like a maniac and I was so scared! His machine isn't made for two people so there isn't a backrest - I totally thought I was going to fall off! After that, me, Kara, and Kasadee all went on one snowmobile! haha It had a long track so there was plenty of room for the three of us. 

Friday we did a bit of snowmobiling then had supper and sat around talking. Two of my parents' friends were at the lake too and came to visit for a bit. 

We don't have electricity at our camp so we keep it warm with a wood fire. My parents had that camp so warm I thought I was going to have a heat stroke. It was 30C in there!! That made sleeping difficult, but it cooled down to a comfortable temperature by morning. 

Saturday the whole family went on a 2.5 hour snowmobile ride to see a tungsten mine and to see the river that flows into the lake. The ride was very nice other than my face being super cold on the way back. After our ride we had lunch then went home. 

Saturday evening my cousin Jillian had a birthday party for her little girl, Taylin, who is turning 2 on Friday. It was a Dora the Explorer theme. I had a nice time visiting with my family. Shawn and I got Taylin a growth chart; I don't think she really knew what it was, but Jillian really liked it. 

I had a great time at home with my family, and then I had to come back yesterday morning because I had to work 1-4 :S
